A veteran of the New York City music scene, he has worked with Johnny Thunders and Syl Sylvain (The New York Dolls) and been a writing member of the Jim Carroll Band. He has also appeared on Broadway in the Billy Joel musical "Movin' Out", and in the Off-Broadway cult hits "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", and "Love, Janis".
Since relocating to Toronto in 2006, Tristan has been busy, first as the onstage guitarist in the Mirvish production of the smash Queen musical, "We Will Rock You", ( http://www.wwry.ca) and as an in-demand session player and producer/songwriter. Current projects include producing singer/songwriter Peter Deiwick's project A Chelsea Ghost, and WWRY mainman Yvan Pednault's debut album. Live appearances include some duets with Nettwerk recording artist Tara Maclean.
He recently had the honour of playing an original arrangement of "Auld Lang Syne" at the annual City TV New Year's Bash in Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto, for a live audience of 40,000 and a televised audience of millions more.
He runs a monthly showcase at the Cameron House ( http://
www.thecameron.com/) , where. as he likes to say, "puts his life onstage", presenting whatever current projects and recent collaborations he has been working on to a live audience.
Tristan is pleased to endorse Vox Amplification, saying, "It's the sound in my head.... when I matured to a certain point as a player, I was always trying to dial in this sound anyway, on whatever I was using.... it was time to step up."
"Tristan is an amazing guitarist" - Brian May (Queen) "Great pop sensibility" - Steve Stevens (Billy Idol)
