Lil’ Jaz/Eljay II
A professional DJ with training in classical music and a history of high-level competitive turntablism, Jasper is tour DJ/Keys/Programmer for Crown Loyalist recording artist K-OS. He initially joined this eclectic band in 2004 upon the release of critically acclaimed Joyful Rebellion, and quickly made an impression on stage as well as in the studio on subsequent releases, Atlantis (2006) and YES! (2009). Jaz continues to develop as an exciting and truly unique, avant-garde hybrid musician/DJ mixing and matching his styles seamlessly on stage, in the studio and in the clubs.
Music has taken Anthony Cooperwood all over the world. From Moscow, Russia touring with a 20-piece swing-jazz big band to Hong Kong, China for the Millennium celebrations of 2000 with a popular R&B artist, Anthony has performed in a variety of environments. For 5 years Anthony served as Keyboardist/Bass Guitarist/Backup Conductor for Cirque du Soleil’s Dralion show.
Tabla player Ritesh Das has been studying, teaching and composing since the early 1970’s. After a full career as performers in the famed dance troupe of Uday Shankar (elder brother of Pandit Ravi Shankar), Ritesh’s parents established Nritya Bharati, the first government recognized music & dance institution of independent India in Kolkata. This excellent teaching facility continues today under the guidance of Ritesh’s brother, renowned Kathak dancer Pandit Chitresh Das.
Jim Gilmour was born in Carfin, Scotland, but his musical journey began in Canada at the age of nine when he got his first instrument, the accordion. With a passion for learning and performing music, Jim diversified his interests, and at age 17, he began taking lessons and practicing the piano and the clarinet. Around the same time, he was enrolled in the faculty of music program at the University of Toronto and attending opera school. Little did he know what was around the corner – a dream come true.
Paul Neufeld has been on the international music scene since 1995 with the release of his first recordings, and first major award – a Juno for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Since then he has been given five Juno nominations, two Vibe Awards, a Jazz Report award, a National Jazz award. His activities have included NOJO (Neufeld-Occhipinti Jazz Orchestra), Rhythm & Truth, Paul Neufeld Group and many more ensembles, international, Canadian and American touring.

Montreal keyboardist John Roney is one of the most active and visible artists on the Canadian music scene. His “triple threat” versatility as a jazz pianist, classical pianist and multi-genre composer is unrivalled, but it is his virtuosity in each idiom that is truely astonishing. John is also the musical director and principal accompanist to the operatic soprano Natalie Choquette, for whom he has written several shows and produced 2 CDs. John is an active Korg Canada Artist and clinician.
